The Birmingham Music Festival is one of Britain's leading piano competitions.
We welcome entrants of all ages and all abilities from enthusiastic beginners and gifted amateurs to veteran competitors.
We have a fantastic venue: The Ruddock Performing Arts Centre at King Edward’s Schools, the BMF offers high quality grand pianos in both of our performance theatres and adjudicators to match.
We think the Birmingham Music Festival offers the very best in amateur music making.

We had a very successful Festival in October.
Everybody felt glad to be back performing in live mode, and as ever we heard an array of wonderful performances from young and experienced players alike.
Thanks to everybody for following our covid protocols so completely. This contributed to keeping us all safe, and they didn't interfere with our enjoyment of the weekend.
The 2022 Festival will be on 15 & 16 October, and hopefully this will not be affected by covid so we can go back to our higher capacity limit than was possible in 2021.
The syllabus will be launched in early March, covid permitting, so please do come back to visit this site then.
