The 2019 Festival was another great success.
The BMF continues to attract talented young and experienced players from all over England and Wales.
We heard some terrific performances of music both familiar and little known, and we welcomed some players performing at the BMF for the first time as well as some regular performers returning. Players ranged from under 8 to over 60 and covered a range of experience from below Grade 2 to Licentiate Diploma level. Music played ranged from compositions by Praetorius (born 1571) to Darius Brubeck and David Bowie.
Our 20 classes were won by 15 different winners, and 2 youngsters managed to win open classes. Most of these winners will perform at our winners' concert on 4 July 2020.
See you in 2020!
